After being a student for 18 years (from elementary to graduate school), I am finally getting tired. After being the teacher's pet in number of occasions, I finally decided to graduate. From May 2 and on, I am no longer a student, and finally becoming a working woman. That's a good thing at one moment, because I am really tired of school now. That's a bad thing at the other moment, because the working environment can be worse than school. O well, at least, I will have TVB Square to support me ;-) Also, I will have a little more time to watch TVB series! Yahoooooo!

Recently, Ron, Raymond, Kevin and Sonija went to Thailand for a special TVB promotion. Look, they are holding their series posters! How cute?! I want those posters!
Before I knew about their promotion trip, I was so jealoused, because they are not coming to USA. Then, I wanted to "murder" Sonjia, so I can go with the twin dragons. Now, I just want to be the baby Raymond is holding!!!!
Few days before, Ron Ng, Raymond Lam, Bosco Wong and Kevin Cheung were filming a promotional clip for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
In this promotional clip, the four TVB stars will act as ALIENS! The aliens who are going to invade the earth every four years. Finally, they figured out what's going on here on earth: the World Cup 2006!
This clip, obviously, is going to have the sci-fi feeling attached. So, watch out as Ron, Raymond, Bosco and Kevin invade the earth!

The Standing It's very obvious why TVB chooses to use Ron, Raymond, Bosco and Kevin to film this commercial, they are TVB's hottest weapons right now.
The Group There were rumors around that saying Ron and Kevin are in the war, obviously, that's not true, so don't believe in rumors.
The Match Why in the world, they want to be aliens? I found that idea strange. What do aliens have to do with the world cup? I can't say it's not match-able, but just sounds strange. O well, wait until we see the commericial, lol.
The Trophy Among the four, I guess Bosco is the most famous one at this moment. Next year around, let's see who gets the most attention.
BSB & I If you know me long enough, you will know I am one of the most obsessed Backstreet Boys fans out there. My BSB obsession started 8 years ago, and it will never end. As you browse through TVB Square, you will see Backstreet Boys related stuff pop up somewhere. For example, here at the blog. Just a little history for you, BSB and I share the same birthday. Wooo... am I telling you too much information?!
Brian & I Brian Littrell is my favorite Backstreet Boy, he is the lead singer, and my soul mate. (Soul mate meaning my personal inspiration) It's hard to find a personal inspiration, who you will always admire. But, once you found him/her, you will put all your faith in that person.
Christian Music & I Well, I am not a Christian, even though Brian is devoted to Christianity. However, before knowing Brian, I never cared about Christian music or the religion. After knowing Brian for many years, I was expecting him to release a Christian album. Finally, after 8 years of my obsession, Brian is releasing his debut album (SOLO!!!!), it's called "Welcome Home". The release date is May 2, 2006.
Happy 13th Anniversary I always regret knowing BSB late. They started 13 years ago, but my obsession started 8 years ago. I lost 5 years of time. I will always regret that. But, anyways, I am little late to say this: happy anniversary, BSB ;-)

I am still running the marathon, this is a couple issue.
Issue 4 - Ekinadia
Ekinadia = Ekin + Nadia = TVB's Golden Couple in the early 90s Together, they were paired 7 different times, in both modern and ancient series, that is a record.
It all started with The Zu Mountain Saga Ekin, the blood demon, once said: "Nothing in this world can last forever, but my love towards you (Nadia) will never change."
Good vs. evil, demons vs. fairies. The chemistry between Ekin and Nadia all started here. That was 1991, in the same year, the two also filmed a series called "月儿弯弯照九洲" (I have hard time finding the English name of that series).
Ekinadia also had a guest appearance at TVB's "I Love Rose Garden" (我爱玫瑰园) series, don't ask me what's that, I have no single clue! They also had a guest appearance in one of the "Justice Bao" episode.
In 1992, Ekinadia continued their chemistry on "The Mark of Triump", where Nadia had a facial problem. After the series, the Ekinadia chemistry becomes hotter and hotter. In 94, they filmed another series together "Knot To Treasure".
The last series they were together was "Instinct", which is one of the biggest hit, but that was in 1994. Now, it's 2006, after 12 years, the Ekinadia's chemistry was still in everyone's mind, and I NEED to see them once again...

Louis Koo - TVB needs you!
He says he still needs to film one more series for TVB, that's on his contract, and that's what I read on the news somewhere. However, he is pushing back that promise one year after another. He needs to come back and film that series, maybe he will consider filming more after that. Well, maybe not. But, TVB needs you, I need you, the LJ fans need you, everyone else needs you.
Jackie Liu - Brother LingHu, I miss you
I don't know how much I miss Jackie after State of Divinity. Just that one series, I began to love him, even though I never even care about him before. However, he disappeared from TVB for so long, I don't know where is he right now. Maybe acting some small characters in some movies. Why did he left TVB? Will he ever consider coming back? The mystery is unsolved...
Gallen Lo - TVB is a better home!
Gallen, just accept it, TVB is a better home for you. Sooner or later, you will feel that too. I don't want to force you to come back. Maybe you will never come back, but, you have a bigger home at TVB. You are still the number one "big brother", nothing will change that. Mainland or Taiwan series are not suitable for you, please come back!

Mariane Chan: As a boss, as an Actress
She is a great boss, she is also an awesome actress, why can't she do both? Maybe because of her busy schedule? If she can come back to TVB and continue to film series, she can also promote her business. Hmmm.. maybe her business is already sucess enough, but I still miss her!
Margaret Chung: a chance to lead
After dating Joey Leung for so long, and getting hurt by the kissing rumor even longer, she needs to stand strong, if she decides to film series with TVB again, TVB might consider to give her a more important role, maybe a lead role, because everyone seems to owe her something.
Amy Kwok: Where are you now?
I haven't heard anything about her for ages! I know she is very happy with Sean, and perhaps don't need to come back to TVB to earn money. But I think a stay-home-wife doesn't suit her well. Maybe she can be a TVB producer or something.. lol.. just a suggestion.
TVB needs to have more people coming back! After the success story of Benny, Steven, and the upcoming return of Ada, TVB needs more people! I miss so many talented stars!
Issue 1: Male version
Gordon Lam: why working for Andy Lau?
When Gordon was in TVB, he is the lead actor, who filmed lots of great series. Such as Plain Love 2, Country Spirit, etc. When he left TVB, he only worked for Andy Lau. I understands that they are great friends. However, Gordon can only play the smallest characters in Andy's movies. That's not really fair. Gordon, if he come back to TVB, he will most likely to be the lead in any series. So, please come back!
Nick Cheung, make your promise!
I remembered Nick saying that he will film one TVB series per year. However, after The Last Breakthrough, he kinda break his promise and disappeared. I understand he has a family now, but that also means he should come back to TVB and film more series!
Dicky Cheung: stop filming Taiwan or Mainland Series!
Dicky is busy filming everything else but TVB, what's up with that? His mainland or Taiwan series is getting boring one after antoher. He really needs to consider coming back to TVB and film some quality series.

Beauty Weapon Charmaine Sheh Charmaine, my most favorite TVB actress, who used to be on my "Hate List" after watching "Defective Investigation Files 4". Luckily, I destroyed that whole list, otherwise, I will blame myself forever...
Love, at the second sight My love towards Charmaine came after "Moonlight", which used to be the series that can tortures me inside out. That is the transition series which helped me from hating Charmaine to loving her.
Charm Spirit I love the way Charmaine cries! Her crying skill is very special, a lot of times, I will cry along with her. Most of the time, I will not easily forget her crying scenes. "Country Spirit" was the series that made me a "Charm mania".
When War and Beauty meets Angels of Mission What happens when War, Beauty, Angel all mix together? You get two of my most favorite Charmaine series. You also get a little background of who Charmaine really is. As one of the most popular TVB actresses, she is in the "war" against the others, getting the Best Actress award is not easy, but once she gets it, she has the guarantee to become the next "First Sister" of TVB. She can do it, because she is the TVB sweetheart, an angel everyone adores. She also has the inner beauty, not only on screen, she is extrememly nice to her fans and friends off screen.

Jade Star's Winner (aka. TVB Monopoly) game review *Reviewed by TVB Square
Jade Star's Winner is a typical monopoly game, with the characters of TVB classic characters. There are 6 main characters, who will be speaking the most classic TVB lines throughout the game. As a player, you will choose a character, and start to buy land, sell land, and driving your competitors crazy.
Annoying factors: The character you play will speak his/her lines over and over again, which can become very annoying. However, you can always turn off your computer speaker volume to avoid this problem.
Love factors: The game itself is very cute, the concept is old, however, this game will add something extra, such as stocks, racing horses, playing Super Trio games, etc. You will also encounter many other small characters on the road, who can make you crazy, normal, rich or poor.
Trouble factors: I was playing the character of Dayo, and within two months (not the actual 2 months, but the 2 months on the game calender, in real time, maybe 2 hours), some other character threw me in jail for 3 times!!!! I was so mad about that, maybe because I was playing with the computer, and the computer just hates me.
Recommendations: It will be good if you play with your friends on this game, so that you can drive each other crazy. If you play against the computers, it will be little boring.
Did you know? 1. TVB scripts were used to be handwritten? I thought I am the only one that has handwritten collections...Right now, all the scripts were saved on the computer. 2. The oldest publication in TVB Library is 1967, the first Hong Kong Television magazine. 3. TVB Libary collects all the stars' information and news. The oldest news was 30 years ago.

I had a little accident yesterday, tripped myself because I was in a hurry. So, I was thinking, when is the last time I ever tripped myself and got hurt? Perhaps 15 years ago? Last night, my legs were so hurt, and I decided to make fun of myself so that I can feel better the next day. So, I looked through my old, old graphics, and I found the following picture. This is the very first project of my very first graphic design course. By the way, from the picture, you should know my name now... (shhh... secrets, secrets...)
Right now, my favorite line to say is: "Promote some, Demote some, Fire some", which came from Steven Ma in Safe Guards. This line was stuck in my head, I can never get it out, so I decided to use it to describe my feelings about the most current TVB Popularity Awards.

Promote some: Looking at the list, you can clearly tell that Angela is being heavily promoted by TVB. So is Niki and Kevin. I was very surprised to see Kevin in this list. After all the lawsuits and everything, he is getting more popular.
Demote some: I don't know why Kenix Kwok is not in the list, I felt so disappointed about it. Last time I check, she is running the Best Actress race with Liza. Now, she is not even in the Most Popularity Awards. What's up with that?! Another suprising factor: Ron and Raymond are not in it. I am not saying they got dis-promoted, I am just saying they didn't even catch up with Kevin...
Fire some: o. no, I am not going into that at all. TVB will never fire people (in terms of actors and actresses). I know they may fire producers.
You never know what you could find by scanning through your old photo albums. A lot of times, you will find some surprising pictures. Today, I was browsing through my pictures when I took in Beijing (I went to Beijing couple years ago). I remember, I was in the subway station, and I found Louis' pictures. Back then, I had a high fever on Mr. Koo, so I took the pictures, however, I didn't have a website or a blog to share those. So, today, I am uploading them for you guys to see. Maybe you never seen these before.. It's an ad for Chinese brand bubble gum.
I started the Steven Ma obsession way before Ron, way before Benny, and short after Louis. After many years of absence, I thought I am going to cure my Steven fever, but, I wasn't able to do so. Today, I woke up in the morning, with the Steven fever back on me, and I decided to create an entry for him, and put him in my weapon collection.
By the way, my other weapon collection include: Raymond, Ron and Bosco.
Hate Factor Did you know I used to hate Steven way back then? He was in my "black list" for a good amount of time. (Right now, I am no longer keeping "black list", because almost everyone in my black list is in my love list now. So, it's very useless to keep one.) The main reason was the series "Moonlight (Return of the Cuckoo). Steven was the one broke the Chilam-Charmaine chemistry. He is the one destroyed one of the most perfect chemistry on earth. So, you can see why I hated him...
Baby Face aka "dorky"? A lot of people thinks Steven has a baby face that will never change. I think so too. But if people tell me he looks "dorky", I will try to defend him. I will say, watch "Where the Legend Begins", you will never think he is dorky anymore. Or, for the recent record, watch "Safe Guards"!!!!
The Emotional Cryer There are not many professional TVB cryers out there. Steven is one of the unique ones. Especially when he is playing a tragic character.
My Better Half Steven is a perfect guy to date with. Actually, I am talking about his characters. He always play the rich kind, the smart kind, the responsible kind, the care kind. Never plays the childish kind. So why not? A perfect list of characters (except the one in Moonlight) for Steven, no wondering why I am having Steven Fever whenever I see him act.
Deep Voice, deep voice I love Steven's songs, he can really sing. Back then, I watch TVB series in mando (dubbed), so I don't know what Steven's speaking voices are like. All I know is that, he can sing really deep. But now, I am watching TVB in canto (real voice), and finally, I get to hear what Steven's voices are like. I got to say, his voices are attractive...
Steven Magic From hate to love, it didn't take me long. I was in love with him soon after I hated him. That's all because of "Where the Legend Begins", which made me a true Steven fan. Now, I can't get over my Steven fever...

12:01 AM, clock is ticking, I seat in my computer room, realizing the midnight passed away. I was surprised about how much I was dragged into the series I am watching on TV: Safe Guards. I have finished the first 5 episodes, and I was telling myself, no matter what, no matter how, I am going to convince every TVB fan I know to watch this series.
Reason 1: the unqiue story Everything about this story is unqiue, and I do not want to give out any spoilers. Because it's a pleasure to watch an intense drama without knowing much spoilers.
Reason 2: Steven Ma He is playing a very serious character, the Steven type I love the most. This time, he is "mean", or tough-to-deal-with. He is the one works so hard, but gets to blame for. Perfect role for him!
Reason 3: Ellaine is not a threat! I know lots of you refuse to watch this series because of Ms. Yiu. However, she should not be your concern. The series is more focused on Steven, his family and his brothers.
Reason 4: Just for Wayne You will HATE him at the beginning, however, from the themevideo, I know I will love him towards the end, and I just can't wait to experience that without knowing why.
I don't find shocking when people say I share "illegal" files at my Download section. Well, I didn't go too far. At least, I don't provide series downloads. The downloads I am offering are TVB themevideos, themesongs and clips. How illegal is that? Sigh... I found my download server blocking me for providing "illegal stuff". O, well, it's time to change the server again...
How do you define illegal? When you search on Google, or Youtube, you will find lots of "clips" of TVB series. Most of the time, you will find series downloads just about everywhere (not mention BT or eMule). Compare to that, I am way legal. I don't mind my download server shuts me down, because I can get rid of my entire Download section anytime, and stay "legal". However, this can't be the solution...

Today is the Chinese memorial day, also called "Ching Ming", which roughly translates to "clean and bright". It's a day when the Chinese family gather together to respect the ancestors and the family members who passed away. So, today is the perfect day to summarize the recent pityful death factors:
Category 1: The saddest
Anytime when you cried your eyes out during a death scene, you will remember that scene, for a very long time.
Category 2: Most Unreasonable
If you are thinking to suicide or sacrifice youself in order to stop something (for example, stop someone and someone fighting), think again. My suggestion is, don't do it!
Category 3: Most Unexpected
You can just talk to a crazy woman about her secrets, and she can just kill you. The unexpected death happens all the time, you can't predict the future...
Category 4: Most Expected
The death caused by the disease, very reasonable, very expecting and very common in TVB series. I seems to know all the reasonable disease that can kill us now, see, I don't need a biology class!
Picture of the month.... oh... maybe not? When I first saw the picture below, I was shocked. When I look at it the second time, I was trying to figure out what is Joey thinking when she decided to wear that. What's that thing on her hair? Looks like a wing with no feathers. Her dress, looks like something out of a trash can... O well, I can't say that's the worst picture of the month, but this picture truly scared me away.
I am watching "Under the Canopy of Love" in a very slow speed, still struggle to finish it. If Bosco is not in the series, I will never watch or finish watching that series. My number one priority for April is "Safe Guards", because of the sky high air rating results. Plus, I also heard lots of good comments about the show, especially on Waynei. So, anything good about Waynei is a much watch for me. Two new series will also be aired this month, "Bar Benders" and "Le Femme Desperado", I am very interested with both series, especially Le Femme Desperado, mainly because I am craving to see the relationship between a hot guy and an older woman. There is nothing wrong with that. Love has no boundaries, age differences shouldn't be an issue.
It's a fact that I collect strange things. Not only I am a kiss-scene collector, I am also a Tears collector. I am getting into a slap collector and a hug collector. However, slaps and hugs are too hard to be captured. So, let's get on with the tears.
According to Wikipedia, "tears are a liquid produced by the body's process of lacrimation to clean and lubricate the eyes". It's a long definition, my understanding is, whenever people cries, you should see tears.
Category 1: Fake Tear Till this day, I do not know how to tell the difference between fake tear and real tear. Everything can look fake on Television, but everything can also look real.
Category 2: The "Water" Eye This happen to the guys more often, when you wanted to cry, but tears don't come out, instead, tears are running in your eyes. Your eyes look watering.
Category 3: Single Tear
Most of the time, a single tear falls down, and that's the end of it. I don't know if the left eye has more chances of dropping tears or the right eye has more chances. It could be a great topic to research about.
Category 4: Tears Dropping When Closing Eyes
When you close your eyes, your tears just dropped, it's very common. However, your eyes have to be "watering" first.
Category 5: Weeping
Caused by strong emotional stress or pain. This is emotional stuff, and lots of TVB actresses are really good at this.
Category 6: too heartbroken for tears I am sure your heard this, when you are so heartbroken, you are very tired of crying, and you wanted to cry so much, but no tears come out? This is the perfect way to tortue youself...
I am sure there are lots of other ways to get your tears out, as for me, I just cry whenever I saw something tragic happens on TV. A lot of us can also have tears when we laugh so bad, or when the kitchen is smoking, or you just cutting onions. Whatever it is, tear is very special weapon for everyone, it clears out all the bad things in your eyes...
I want to thank my polls, because of them, I got into a habit of screen capturing the kisses. One of my Year-End Polls will feature the Best Kisses of the Year, which will be running next week. I like this poll the most, because you will never know what other fans are thinking about the TVB kisses.
To capture the TVB types of Kisses, I group them in the following category:
Category 1. Mouth to Mouth
The most common one - you see this one the most often. A short mouth to mouth kiss is considering romantic. A long mouth to mouth kiss can turn into category 2.
Category 2. "Wet Kiss"
This is when you get to see the tongue, a lot of you might think this is "yuck". However, kisses are supposed to be "wet" in the real life. The only reason you don't see the Wet Kiss often on TV is because television dramas are not like real life.
Category 3. Top Down Approach
This is a cool style, also a very romantic style. Most of the time, the guys will be on top.
Category 4. Drunk Kiss
How to kiss a strange girl? The best way is to get drunk and then accidentally kiss her. However, you need to be careful, alcohol is poison!
Category 5. Kiss in the Public
To tell a girl how much you love her, how much you care about her, the best thing to do, is to kiss her in the public, when lots of people are watching you! However, this can turn out to be embarrassing.
Category 6: For Privacy Only
When you are shy, you might just want to be alone with your partner, when no one else is around you. However, sometimes, you might not realize that someone might be watching!
Category 7. Accidental Kiss
Accidental kisses are most forgiving. Do it when you don't want too much trouble. However, accidents are supposed to feel like accidents. Otherwise, you will get a slap instead.
Category 8. Kiss on the Cheek
The most polite way of kissing is to kiss on the cheek. Most of the time, the girls do that, but guys do that too. It's a very sweet type of kiss.
Category 9: Forcing Kiss
A lot of the times, guys will do the force thing. You can consider Ron's drunk kiss in category 4 as one of the forcing kiss. The whole idea behind the forcing kiss is: you will get a slap back.
