Official Rankings of TVB Stars
The following rankings are composed by TVB, part of it is base on the popularity of the stars, the more important part of it is base on the status of a star, and how well TVB treats them. I am only going to mention the top 10. Please note that, this is the TVB ranking, not mine.
Male (ranked)
(1) Roger Kwok (2) Bowie Lam (3) Moses Chan (4) Ron Ng (5) Raymond Lam (6) Kevin Cheung (7) Frankie Lam (8) Bosco Wong (9) Steven Ma (10) Kenneth Ma
Female (ranked)
(1) Jessica Hsuan (2) Gigi Lai (3) Charmaine Sheh (4) Sonija Kwok (5) Myolie Wu (6) Melissa Ng (7) Bernice Liu (8) Tavia Yeung (9) Yoyo Mung (10) Shirley Yeung
Ok, I was satisfied with the male rank, however, I wanted Bosco to rank a little higher, I believe he will, pretty sure he can grab a "most improved actor" award or some other award this year. For the female list, I was little disappointed, Kenix is not even in the list, did she sign the contract with TVB? And, where is Sheren? It's amazing to see Yoyo at top 10.. am I the only one think that way?

Mid Year Analysis
So, it is August, we already past the midpoint of the year. I saw almost all of the series of the year so far, and here is my analysis, I am going to use three different point of views as follows:
(1) more trash endings than ever: yeah, I sounded mean, but I am speaking the truth, pretty much all of the series I saw this year ends badly (other than Misleading Track and My Family). TVB is getting great about opening the series, but getting poor about closing it. It's called "Tiger Head, Snake Tail"
(2) creative plot vs. useless script: you can summarize the 2005 series (so far) as either creative or useless. The creative such as My Family, The Gateau Affairs, Just Love, The Academy and Misleading Track. These stories are somewhat unqiue, refreshing, and you will learn lots stuff from those. The useless such as The Prince's Shadow, Strike at Heart. You will have no idea what you are getting from those stories.
(3) generation x: no matter which series you are watching, there are always someone new in it. This year has no expections, but TVB began to promote the new stars more and more now. All the faces start to change, so you have to get use of that.
By far, my favorite series is Misleading Track, next is The Academy and My Family. If you don't care about the endings too much, then Just Love, The Gentle Crackdown, The Gateau Affairs, Love Bond were all good.

August Watch List
Since everyone is talking about Healing Hands 3, so I don't have to promote it any further. HH3 is in my watch list, but I don't have a big expectation on it since I didn't like HH2 at all. War of In-Laws got a pretty good air rating, this truly proves how popular Myolie is now. The one and only series I won't miss is Revolving Doors of Vengeance, which is at the top spot of my watch list for the year. I already watched 2 trailers and those truly rocks. Just can't wait any longer for that one to be out. It will be released in Hong Kong on August 15, yeah!

Current Recommendation - The Gateau Affairs
Before I began to watch this series, people already sending the reviews for it. So, this is the first time I watch a series after reading the reviews. It feels great, and the series truly rocks big time. At first, I didn't expect too much from the show, because I am not a Joe Ma fan at all. But, when I began to watch the series, I got hooked. The story was so interesting, and the cakes, of course, too yummy to be true. The background music is also great, fits the story so well. Myolie's performances were super, and I love her every single imaginations.
So, if you havn't start to watch this one yet, go start now.
