TVB Anniversary... awaits
About a month and half later, TVB will be celebrating its 38th anniversary. A lot of people asked me about my predictions, well, I can't say I am really good at the TVB Anniversary award predictions, because TVB will always think about something to surprise you. But there are lots of characteristics TVB won't miss, such as:
1) the contracted actor or actress always have more chance of winning
2) if the series has a better air rating, the stars in the series always have more chance of winning
3) the stars who won last year were not likely to win anything big this year
4) if the star decide not to show up at the anniversary, he or she is not going to win an award
Now, let's take a look at the most improved award first. I think this one is pretty easy to predict. Bosco Wong should be the sure win here, if he doesn't win, TVB really got a problem. As for female most improved, it is between Bernice Liu and Niki Chow. I prefer Niki, but TVB might decide to give the award to Bernice. The best chemistry in a drama got to be Myolie Wu and Bosco Wong, I don't know who else can win that one.
Ok, more predictions: for the top five actors --> Bowie, Moses, Joe Ma, Roger, Michael Miu. Dark horse: Michael Tao. Who is going to win? I am predicting Moses Chan
for the top five actress --> Jessica, Gigi, Charmaine, Kenix, Lisa Wong. Dark horse: Myolie Wu. If Charmaine didn't make into the top five, Myolie could. Who is going to win? My prediction is Kenix Kwok, hopefully.

For actor I think Joe ma would win!
Most improved star for actor would be Bosco Wong! and actress Niki Chow i hope!

any idea how many more drama series will be aired before the TVB anniversary, excluding the anniversary series Legend of Ah Wong and the series with Gigi and Moses?
I would love jessica to win the best actress but seems like she doesnt have as many appearances as myolie and kenix. I would prefer Joe to Moses also. Bernice Liu still can't act i think, Niki's better. Bosco's sure-win haha.

i would so hope that joe and kenix would win due to their wonderful drama RDOV. but if moses win instead, it would be good too. i hope best chemistry would go to myolie and bosco. and for newcomer male everyone including me would know almost 100% it would be bosco and he deserves it. for newcomer female, although many expect bernice to win, i hope so much, so badly for leila to win. though she doesn't have any series so good and not so many i do hope she gets some award after seeing tlb though it must have been so long ago. if she doesn't win, which may most likely be the case unless for sudden suprises, i hope she does next year. then there'll be TTOAB and LMS but again, there'll be more newcomers and fresh faces.

actress: liza wang/kenix kwok
actor: joe ma
improved actress: bernice liu
improved actor: bosco
supporting actress: dunno
supporting actor: john chiang
chemistry: moses+bernice/myolie+bosco
I personally prefer moses+bernice chemistry, but myo+bosco seems the most popular...
but we can't forget that there are still a few series to go. maybe they'll change our minds a bit..

Hm...I more or less agree with some minor differences.
Best Newcomer (previously known as Most Improved): Bosco and Bernice are shoo-ins. I will be extremely surprised if anyone else gets these. Niki and Leila are also good candidates for this award in terms of skill, but Bernice is TVB's baby.
Best Actor: Agree completely, except replace Michael Miu with Bobby. I have this nagging feeling that TVB will end up not including Michael Miu. They're evil like that. And I don't think Michael Tao will even show up at the anniversary.
Best Actress: Jessica, Gigi, Kenix, and Liza are givens. Last spot goes to Myolie or Charmaine (50/50). Dark horse: Melissa. She just might pop up in there this year. I'm also hoping the award goes to Kenix.
Best Partnership: I think it's pretty obvious that it'll go to WOIL. I'm hoping TVB will break usual tradition and give it to all three since it wouldn't have been the same without one, but if they insist on choosing 2/3, I think it'd go to Myolie and Liza.
I have no idea how the "supporting" awards are gonna work -- if they're gonna keep the structure the same as "Most Extraordinary" was, or if they're gonna revamp it.
Supporting Actor: John Chiang. Or Michael Miu, if they decide not to include him in the Best Actor category. I'm leaning towards John.
Supporting Actress: If they stick to the Most Extraordinary tradition, I think it'd go to Liza, even though her role in WOIL could hardly be called supporting. Anyway, that way, they can acknowledge Liza and still give an award to Kenix (Recall Sheren-Gigi ordeal last year). Otherwise, I have no idea.
I think this way, there's a pretty even distribution for TVB's biggest series this year: 2-3 awards for WOIL, 2 for RDOV, 1 for The Charm Beneath, and 1 for Bernice for either HH3 or ITA or (long shot) Love Bond. My money's on HH3.

after watching the first few chapters of "life made simple" i actually think jessica hsuan had a good chance of geting the best female award this year! her acting is very mature and skillful..i think she reached the next level of her career.
too bad the series is airring straight into the anniversary..it's a disadvantage that it won't finish in time.
anyhow, my fingers are still crossed..if she really wins...that makes her the first female actress to get this award twice!!!

i think that Liza Wong has the highest chance of getting the best actress award.. Although i very much hope that Kenix will get the award
As for male actor, Michael Miu is one of the best choices for this year. Feel sad for Roger Kwok.. Life Made Simple is aired too late..
most improved actor.. Bosco Wong is a hot choice.. But i would prefer Kenneth Ma.. don't u think his performance in Into Thin Air is outstanding?
Most Improved Actress.. No doubt, it's Bernice Liu.
