air ratings and series
It is understandable if a not-so-good series get a bad air rating result, but it is hard to understand why a goos series also get a poor air ratings? Into Thin Air falls into the category of an awesome series, but its air ratings were only average around 27 point. The series has a great story, great cases, great actors and actress. Why did it get bad ratings? Sometimes, I am just wondering why air ratings are such a big deal to TVB. But, a bad rating doesn't mean the series isn't good....
Into Thin Air is my most current recommendation to everyone, you guys have to watch this series. It has twists, scary moments, suspence, romance, and emotional stories. I also found Kenneth Ma very cute, if everyone agrees that Bosco Wong is the most improved star in ancient series, then Kenneth Ma got to be the most improved star in modern series. His character is just way too cute.

ya i agree. even if is a small production of TVB it can be a good show. sometimes its coz TVB promotes their so-called big Production of the Year show so much that more pple watch & ratings are higher. i personally LOVE Leila Tong Ning, Last Breakthrough is small production but nice. Leila acted so well inside. Hope she gets Best Newcomer award someday. she juz needs more luck for a big series!!!

Into Thin Air is a great series. Its storyline was so unpredictable, not like previous TVB series where u can practically guess what comes next. The cast was fantastic, I especially enjoyed Michelle Yim's appearance, that was such a touching case. Hope TVB comes up with more of such creative and thrilling dramas!

lol.. I loved Into Thin Air. It was a really great series. In Into Thin Air, i loved the storyline and the cast.. especially Kenneth Ma and Bernice Liu. They were so cute together in this series! I loved their scenes together. Kenneth Ma definitely improved a lot.. and he was so cute! He's one of my favourite actors =) ever since I saw him in Wong Fei Hung: Master of Kung Fu and Lost in the Chamber of Love. I hope he will eventually win an award!
I'm surprised that the ratings are so low. But then, just becuz ratings are low doens't mean it's not good.
I remember that there was a series last year called " Shades of Truth" starring Gigi Lai, Chilam Cheung and Wong He. and it was really good too but it got a really low rating too.

I totally agree. Into Thin Air is definitely the most captivating series this year. It seems that the ratings are usually higher on the more "safe" series, as in, nothing new is tried. Basic TVB formulae and stuff like that.

I think high or low air rating is depend on :
1.promotes from TVB
2.Cost production.
for Into the Air i never see this. I only know from MV Themesongs ( download from TVBSquare ), but after look that, i really like this series. I think this series is different, really fresh in mind. I believe this one is very good series. And i believe from this series can help Melisa Ng to win BIG BIG award !!!

i can't agree with you more, when i saw this, i was so surprised and a little upset that this series was not publicized more. i would totally recommend it to everyone. refreshing cast, especially michelle yim's story - it brought me to tears, even after watching it for the 4th time!!!
