The Next War and Beauty
It is not surprised that TVB is going to do a modern version of "War and Beauty" after its success. It is not surprised that TVB will use most of the stars from "War and Beauty". It is not surprised that they will change the main lead (the new main lead is Ada Choi). It is not surprised they will make lots of villains (Bowie plays the villain this time). But, it is surprise to see the character designs for this new show (please see the pictures below). I don't really like the character designs, everyone looks strange other than Charmaine and Gigi.

Wow, the pictures seems to make all of them really old looking. The concubines in WAB were all very young looking and pretty, but these costumes doesn't look right. Maybe it is just me. Great that Ada Choi is back filming for TVB series. Should I have high expectations for this serie? Also, since "The Legend of Ah Wong" is currently filming and this serie about to begin, both should be release by next year. Would there be fight for the Best Actress Award in the year 2006?

Yippeeee.........another Maggie Siu series. I like the other actors too but Maggie Siu the best!!! But why Ada the lead? Nothing against her, I like her too. So, what makes Gigi? And Chermaine? 2nd leads or supporting?

Not actually modern, but more "Man Chor" era. I wanna see this series. Number one, because Maggie Siu is back. And number two, I wanna see how Ada is gonna portray an evil character AND be Maggie's step-mother.

well Ada is portraying a Stepmum or sumthing liek that. Second wife of the father anyway. OF cos she meant to look older. even though she married the guy at young age, still need to look old..you dont want stepmom looking younger than daughter do yah hehehe

i'm quite surprised with the roles as well...just can't get over their real ages in reality.
but i am looking forward to this big series!
just hope that there won't be any bad news throughout the shooting. i really hope that they can all be friends--especially maggie and ada =)

whooo. now TVB is producing a "man chor" era of war & beauty. if this show also get high rank i think they might produce a modern version.Maybe like the fight in the company, triangle love. bla bla.. haha thats will be fun

WHOEVER SAID ADA SHOULD'NT BE THE MAIN CHARACTER OR THE LEAD. YOU LOT HAVE BAD TASTE. I THINK GIGI IS UGLY AND PRETENDS TO BE PRETTY WHICH SHE USES MASSIVE OF MAKE UP IN ALL HER TVB SERIES. SO GIGI LAI SHOULD'NT ACT BECAUSE SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE IS 40 YEARS OLD. AND ON THE OTHER HAND ADA CHOI DOESN'T USES MASSIVE OF MAKE UP AND ADA CHOI STILL LOOKS SO YOUNG AROUND THE AGE OF 20 YEARS OLD.

OMG who would hate charmaine. that was just her character. if you hate her means y\her acting is good. charmaine is a really good actor I LOVE CHARMAINE FOREVER. anyways ada is a very good actor and gigi. all these cast are beautiful

maggie ho yee,jessica hsuan,gigi lai,and kenix kwok.And the actors will be Roger kwok ah wong,joe ma,benny chan,bobby au yeung,steven ma,and gordon lam kar dong.

Gigi has nice skin, she doesn't need make up, just producer wants her do that. GIgi rocks, she should act more in many roles. Go Gigi

ummm... i dont hate any of these actresses coz its lame hating some1 u dont kno...however hating their acting is understandable...but yeh all the actresses in the series CAN ACT! in fact THEY CAN ACT REALLY WELL!!! I LIKE ALL OF THEM (mostly Ada) Y would the producer choose these actresses 2 play these roles especially wen its a grand production? BCOZ THEY CAN ACT GOOD!!!
